June 2018 will be one of those months I’ll remember for a wee while, but it won’t be for great race results. I go two great new event locations which were both awesome, and I’m going to say I did some growing as a runner.

I don’t think there are enough superlatives to accuracy capture the experience of the inaugural Breca Bay of Islands swimrun. The label stated 25km of running and 8.4km of swimming, island hopping the iconic Bay of Islands, with adjectives like pristine, challenging, technical, and beauty. Oh boy did it have all that. What a start to the year, work and life have been next level crazy busy so I’ve been a bit slack on getting a blog post out since Raglan. Quite a few people that I’ve run into lately have asked if I’d given up on my blogs or what my plans for the year are. While it would have been more appropriate a month ago, because that’s when these things are done, here are my goals for this year.
